The Real Housewives of New York City Recap: “Last Call, Morocco!”

June 09, 2011 09:54 PM by Shayla Perry

It’s the Real Housewives of New York City‘s last week of their exotic Moroccan vacation! Find out everything you missed in the aftermath of Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer‘s explosive argument right here!

This week on Bravo‘s Real Housewives of New York City, after their huge fight, Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer each rush to their friends to vent. As Sonja Morgan and Alex McCord scramble to find Ramona some pinot (as if she’ll die without it), LuAnn walks in. Sonja and Alex can see that she’s clearly not helping the situation, so they try to get her to leave. After LuAnn finally walks out, Kelly comes in and tells Ramona that she’s not getting involved, but suggests that the ladies just agree to disagree to get through the rest of the vacation.

Sonja has made reservations for the Housewives, and in addition to bellydancing, the ladies enjoy the men at another table that seem to be checking them out.

After a tour of a fabulous palace with LuAnn, Jill, Kelly, and Cindy, Alex McCord returns to the riad and stops to check in on Ramona, who’s had the day to herself to rest and reflect on her relationship with Jill. Apparently, the alone time wasn’t exactly a good thing, as it made Ramona realize that things will probably never be the same for the two Housewives.

Ramona’s also feeling hurt by LuAnn, who she feels attacked her again, just as she did at Jill’s anti-bullying event. Alex agrees that LuAnn has been out of line lately, and promises that she’ll be Ramona’s “wingman” for the evening.

Later, LuAnn surprises Cindy Barshop, Kelly Bensimon, and Jill Zarin with a henna session. Not surprisingly, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, and Alex McCord opted out and are in Ramona’s room with — yup, pinot.

As the ladies are enjoying having their hands painted with intricate designs, they suddenly are interrupted by very loud footsteps that turn out to be Alex’s.

While Alex is busy fighting Ramona Singer’s battles, Ramona seems to be feeling much better.

She and Sonja are on a super secret mission to get a sneak peek at the dresses that were designed for the ladies.

When they get back, they find Alex in the room, with hives all over her neck. She tells them about her confrontation with LuAnn, and though Ramona didn’t intend for Alex to stand up for her like that, she appreciates the gesture.

After fixing her hair, Jill Zarin and the rest of the brunettes meet for dinner, which everyone was supposed to attend. As it turns out, Ramona and Sonja requested that their meals be brought to their rooms, which LuAnn and the others find absolutely appalling. Just as they begin to talk about Alex McCord’s crazy behavior and just how rude they think that Sonja and Ramona have been through the trip, in walks Alex, who asks if she can join the ladies for dinner.

LuAnn planned the dinner for 8 o’clock, but Alex says she didn’t get the memo, which is why she arrived 30 minutes late. The Countess says that she knows that Alex is “educated” and understands that if she’s going to be late for dinner, she needs to tell the person who planned the event, and therefore believes that Alex was being rude — even though she showed up. She says that despite the kitchen being closed, they’ll make arrangements for Alex, but it’s clear that LuAnn’s still upset, which then makes Alex angry as well.

Alex tells LuAnn again that she didn’t know about the 8 o’clock start time, but the conversation begins to get heated, to the point where Alex feels it’s best that she take her salad and wine to her room. LuAnn urges Alex to finish the fight she started, but Kelly — the peacemaker — tells Alex that she should just go, and escorts her out the door. Sonja Morgan, take note. This is how a “friend” throws someone out before the situation gets ugly. Not exactly the way it was done at your house. Just sayin’!

Alex doesn’t really appreciate Kelly’s move though.

Minutes after Alex exits, in walk Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer asking what’s for dinner.

As you can imagine, this sets LuAnn off. She tells the ladies that dinner was sent to their rooms, but Ramona says that it was a snack that was delivered, pointing out that it was meant to be for all seven of the women and that she had to arrange for it because LuAnn failed to do so herself.

If there’s one thing you don’t want to do, it’s criticize the Countess’ hospitality!

LuAnn snaps back telling Ramona that she did arrange for a snack and that it was in the library, then follows up with, “This is not the Plaza Hotel, this is Morocco!”

After Ramona and Sonja walk out, LuAnn throws down her napkin and storms off as well. Ramona then returns with the plates from the snack they had in her room (how she got them that quickly and why, we don’t know). Kelly tells Ramona that none of this is normal and suggests that she go apologize to LuAnn. Ramona agrees, but says that if LuAnn yells at her, she’s out.

Ramona seeks out the Countess and apologizes for the mix-up. LuAnn still thinks that she knew when dinner was being served, but takes the opportunity to tell Ramona that she never meant to choose sides between her and Jill, and that no matter what, she wants her to know that she’s there for her. Everything seems fine until LuAnn brings up the fortune teller and Ramona’s reading. LuAnn is simply trying to tell her that the reading upset her, and she wanted to make sure that whether it’s true or not, Ramona knows that she can come to her to talk, but Ramona starts getting Ramontional, and backs away, insisting that her marriage is perfect and telling LuAnn they should just go eat. Hmmm…

The next day, the ladies are all packing to head back to New York, but before they go, Jill Zarin wants to talk to Ramona. Jill goes to Ramona’s room and tells her that she genuinely cares about her, that she is a real friend, and that anything she said to her in their argument came from love.

They agree that it’s time to move on and vow to leave the past in the past and forge forward with their relationship, promising to always talk to one another about their problems without going to someone else first.

For one of their last meals in Morocco, the ladies are shown how to prepare an authentic Moroccan meal. Not too comfortable in the kitchen, Cindy Barshop manages to put together a small staff to make her dish for her.

Later, it’s finally time for the Housewives to put on their designer dresses and hit a posh Moroccan restaurant. To celebrate the end of their trip, Jill Zarin actually has a drink other than Diet Coke to toast!! But don’t worry, she quickly follows it with her beloved beverage and the ladies reflect on the finer moments of their vacation.

Next week — back to the NYC!

WOW. Did anyone notice towards the beginning of the episode when LuAnne is opening up the wine they cut to Sonja and Ramona on the couch. Ramon says “I need water, is this water?” as she takes the glass from Sonja then Sonja says, “not exactly…” she takes the “water” back and smirks… then a few seconds later you see her take a little sip of it… It has to be Vodka!!
