It’s time for another RTVM Battle where we put your favorite artists from the nation’s biggest singing competitions up against one another to see which ones YOU think are the best. Next up, it’s the country crooners of The Voice and American Idol – Patrick Thomas and Scotty McCreery. Check out the videos, cast your vote, and come back to see who wins!
This RTVM Battle is a little bit country. Okay, a lot of country.
Your favorite male country music vocalists from NBC‘s The Voice and FOX‘s American Idol are both great, but which one is better?

Of course Scotty’s voice is much better. There is no voice as deep and sexy as Scotty’s. Patrick is not bad but not unique and if you listen carefully, his voice is not even low, not to mention deep. Scotty 100x times better.

i am a huge country music fan and although both are really great singers and i would listen to their music anyday, i would have to choose scotty mccreery. i like his really deep low toned voice. he also chose a great song to sing since josh turner has a low voice as well. i also dont usually watch american idol and i have really gotten into the voice. both are great singers! i hope patrick wins the voice!

Yes, finally a country singer that can deliver this guys got range and power to voice that Scotty lacked. Loved Scotty, but sick of Idols Country fried Duo. First Lauren pimped Lauren, then AI, now Scotty and God only knows who else. Belive direction idol and Mercury are taking Scotty and association with teen duo are going to limit Scotty’s longevity. This guy sounds like he’s ready to go and with help for Blake, WOW!

Patrick Thomas all the way!!! <3 Some may think Patrick had the advantage with the band, but he didn't sing a full song, neither did Scotty. I think Scotty actually has the advantage here with the fact that Idol has already finished and he's more well known, while The Voice just started and Patrick hasn't had as many chances to get on the stage and show his talent.

I watched both American Idol and caught an marathon of the voice and fell in love with Patrick thomas the moment i heard him sing and thought he should have been the one to win idol he has an amazing voice and more talent than Scotty. Start listening to Patrick due to the vote and you know what, while his singing is decent (not too ba dto the point you must put off your headphone right away), there’s nothing special about his voice.
He does not have the distinct low voice for a country male singer. What’s most important is that he needs to improve his story-telling skill by a mile – this can’t be compensate by showing his confidence onstage.

Scotty’s had the IT factor since day one, his voice has way more character into it, has better stage presence & he’s better story teller.. Scotty has more talent because he’s younger and he was never trained but he sounds as good. Plus he has the talent to charm and wow people, not many are gifted with this ability.

Definitely Scotty. If you compare them both singing “Live Like You Were Dying” Scotty is clearly the more resonant, powerful, passonate singer. Even with the band, Patrick sang sharp a few times. I bet if he were to sing without backup that Scotty’s mad skills would be even more apparent!

What? are you kidding? Scotty has a unique voice. Patrick can’t compete with Scotty’s rich, soulful deep voice. Scotty is way better, hands down!!!!!

Scotty’s unique and has deep sexy voice. There are millions out there that can sing like Patrick. There is nothing unique about Patrick voice, he can sing yes. No comparison here, Scotty is original.

Scotty has a voice and personality all of his own. They are both great and I would say Scotty is better. However, Patrick was the best of ALL THE singers on the Voice. Blakes excuse given on the Tonight Show last night was a joke “I couldn’t send that little girl home”. I thought the Voice was about the best voice being selected to win. With reasoning like Blake used the entire show lost validity last night. The two left on Blake’s team need a bucket to carry their tunes.

Scotty all the way. There are a million “voices” out there, but very few stars. The ability to hold and entertain a crowd is the deciding factor. Scotty!
