Gene Simmons has been making a lot of headlines since the premiere of his A&E reality show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels. There have been secrets, lies, and more awkward television appearances than we care to count. But is the drama for real? That’s exactly what talk host Joy Behar wanted to know when Simmons’ long-time (soon-to-be ex) partner, Shannon Tweed, walked out of the interview on her HLN show. What do you think?
On Wednesday (June 15) night’s episode of HLN’s Joy Behar Show, KISS rocker Gene Simmons and his partner of 28 years, Shannon Tweed, make an appearance to talk about the new season of their show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels.
When The View co-host brings up Simmons’ “philandering ways,” and his claim of having sex with almost 5,000 women (we’re still working out the math on that one), Gene makes light of the er– lifestyle he’s led over the years, sending Shannon into a quiet rage, and eventually right off the set.
Gene blames Joy for the “set-up,” but the comedian quickly tells him that she has her doubts as to whether or not the exchange was genuine.
We’re the first to admit that reality television has its share of tawdry shows that have more writers and staged scenes than the average sitcom, but what do you think…
Is all the drama between Gene and Shannon real, or not?
Check out this clip of Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed on The Joy Behar Show, and let us know your thoughts. Real, fake, or as Joy would say, “So what? Who cares?”
