Ashley Hebert’s Dumb Bachelorette Moment Of The Week: Muay Thai Boxing

June 23, 2011 04:52 AM by Christine McDow

ABC’s The Bachelorette is providing a lot of material for us to cringe at this season and most of it is coming from Ashley Hebert’s inability to move on from Bentley Williams – but not all of it. Take this past week’s episode, for example. Ames took a blow to the head via Ryan and ended up at the medic! Did Ashley Hebert really think a boxing match for her love would end well?

Because there’s so many moments that are making us scratch our heads this season on The Bachelorette, we thought it only right we bring you the best-of-the-best each week in a segment we like to call: Ashley Hebert’s Head Scratching Bachelorette Moment Of The Week.

This week’s moment of the week was an obvious choice. Instead of enjoying the beautiful culture of Chiang Mai on her group date, she put the guys in a boxing ring and had them fight for her love with the art of Muay Thai boxing.

Okay, let’s put this into perspective, shall we? A group of guys with their egos on the line, one beautiful woman and an audience watching – did Ashley really think these guys wouldn’t try to beat the pulp out of each other?

In an average setting a group of guys would beat each other senseless to win the love of a woman but add the pressure of competition and it’s no wonder Ames got hurt when Ryan introduced his fist to his head.

To make matter worse, the poor guy ended up being carted off to the medic. Ashley didn’t even go with him! Ames ended up making it back for cocktail hour but he brought a concussion along with him.

Why in the world would Ashley agree to have the men fight over her in an art none of them were familiar with? She said she didn’t mean for it to go that far and we do believe that. However, common sense would have said not to put them in that position from the start.

All we can say is that it definitely left us scratching our heads. What do you think? Relive Ames’ blow to the head below and tune in next week for another installment of: Ashley Hebert’s Head Scratching Bachelorette Moment Of The Week.

Do you really think Ashley Hebert planned the boxing event. Use your head. The producers handle these events. Think about the logistics alone. We deserve better articles from you – with some brain power

Actually what was dumb was letting the guys fight. I have no problems watching Muay Thai really. Anyway the guys did it so what’s the points of picking this moment apart. They could have said no.

I also can’t believe she didn’t get into the ambulance with him!

Seriously – Bachelorette didn’t have a medic on site?

What a complete train wreck this season is turning out to be. It isnt even entertaining, it is embarrassing as hell.
When Ashley turned away from the ambulance and let that poor guy go off by himself, I was floored…seriously? Well, I actually could not believe that these guys were fighting on a date. How bizarre!
I feel bad for this girl. She seems very broken. She went into this with a warning about the man she flipped head over heels over. YIKES! I cant wait until she watches this back and sees what he said about her. I sure do hope she finds what she is looking for but sadly, I have the feeling she will end up alone.

The show has lost the “entertainment” draw for me. If I want to be frustrated for some reason, I may watch an episode. She is seeming younger and younger, like a 17 year old trying to pick a boyfriend.

They never should have allowed them into the ring. Without proper training, it is very, very unsafe. Real gyms do not let someone fight without much preparation. When Ames stopped keeping his hands up, the ref should’ve stopped the fight.
