Throughout this season of Bravo‘s Real Housewives of New York City, the battle lines seem to have been drawn right down the middle of the hair color aisle, with every melodramatic meltdown — whether it’s over hangers or henna — being divided Blondes vs. Brunettes. For the video of her new single, “Chic C’est La Vie,” the captain of Team Brunette (make that, the Countess of Team Brunette) went for a new look, sporting blonde locks instead of her natural brown hue. But is the ‘do permanent, and does this mean that we can expect Lu Ann de Lesseps to be a tad more sympathetic to Alex McCord, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer?
Money may not be able to buy you class, but it can buy you an entirely different look!
After donning longer, lighter locks — courtesy of one Mr. Ted Gibson — for her music video to “Chic C’est La Vie,” Real Housewife of New York City, Lu Ann de Lesseps is getting quite comfortable with her ‘do. She’s also been getting cozy with her castmate and member of Team Blonde, Sonja Morgan.
How do you say, “WTF” in French?
Don’t fret, Lu Ann isn’t ready to jump ship just yet. The Countess claims that while she doesn’t know how long she’s going to stay blonde, (we’re guessing until her roots start to show for the first time) the look is only temporary, and we can expect to see the Lu Ann we’ve grown to love (or hate) over the years again.
As for her loyalty to Team Brunette, it doesn’t seem as though she’ll be making any permanent changes on that front either. Sonja Morgan may be great to hang out with on occasion, and to sit next to on long van rides through foreign countries, but no one supports Lu Ann like her girls on the dark side.
What side are you on — Team Blonde (Alex McCord, Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan) or Team Brunette (Lu Ann de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin, and Cindy Barshop)?
