Cheryl Cole might have been axed on the American version of The X Factor, but word has it she’s heading to the British version of The Voice. Read on to find out the details and why Adele’s name is also being linked…
Cheryl Cole licked her wounds after getting cut from the judges’ panel on Fox’s American version of The X Factor, but it didn’t take long long for her to bounce back. It looks like she’s going to be a judge on the BBC’s British version of The Voice.
Not only is Cheryl Cole’s name being linked to the BBC’s new show, so is Adele’s. If you don’t know Adele’s name, shame on you. She’s only a music sensation known around the world.
Of course, Cheryl Cole has the judging-chops after serving as a judge on the UK version of The X Factor, but does Adele? She’s got a big voice, which makes us think she’ll know talent when she sees it.
Adele gave a cryptic answer to Radio 1 host Chris Moyles that makes us think think it’s all going down: ”There’s a possibility that I’m doing something quite big next year – I’ve got a meeting about it on Friday.”
Another source told the Mirror: “Adele’s success is all down to her incredible voice and, in this way, embodies all that The Voice represents. She’s honest, funny and loved my millions of people of all ages.”
It’s also said American judge, Cee Lo Green, will also be heading to the British judges’ table. That is going to be one heck of a judges’ panel.
The Voice, which saw its first winner Javier Colon, captivated audiences as an NBC U.S. hit with bickering judges Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton captaining the ship. Do you think the UK version of The Voice stands the same chance if Cheryl Cole and Adele hit the judges’ table? Sound off in the comments sections.
