July 12, 2011 07:05 AM by Kristin Watson

Remember that little announcement Jennifer Lopez made on Monday (July 11)? You know, the one about iHeartRadio and how she’ll be in Las Vegas for the personalized radio station’s two-day festival in September? Well, it looks like American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is joining the party as the music festival’s host. Read on to find out all the details…

Fox’s American Idol host Ryan Seacrest doesn’t need another job added to his resume, but when has that ever stopped the radio and television personality? News of the iHeartRadio Music Festival began swirling after Jennifer Lopez announced her part in the event and Ryan Seacrest has now been linked as the host.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival is set to go down on September 23 and 24 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Ryan Seacrest had this to say about the mega-music extravaganza: “This is a once in a generation gathering of artists and fans from all over the country for a true, must-see music event. The iHeartRadio Music Festival, like the iHeartRadio digital radio service, will showcase top artists across all genres of music. Listeners from all over America will travel to Las Vegas to celebrate the next generation of iHeartRadio, while seeing the greatest musicians in the world on one stage.”

The line-up for the two-day festival is so big we’re surprised we have room to fit all the names in, but here’s a sample of who’s participating: Coldplay, The Black Eyed Peas, Nicki Minaj, John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Jane’s Addiction, David Guetta, Rascal Flatts, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Sting, Lady Gaga, Steven Tyler and of course, Jennifer Lopez.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival is ushering in the launch of the new iHeartRadio era which hits this fall. Can you get down with what industry people are calling the largest music event in U.S. history? Give us your thoughts in the comments section — will you be there?
