Rumors swirled before and after Emily Maynard’s interview with Chris Harrison on Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette that she might very well be the next in line after Ashley Hebert. Since then, Chris, Emily, and even Reality Steve have weighed in on the prospect of Emily returning to The Bachelor franchise. Keep reading to find out what’s being said…
Following the emotional interview with Emily Maynard about her break-up with Brad Womack, Chris Harrison told Access Hollywood Live that it’s way too soon for any speculation about Emily becoming the next bachelorette. He explained that it’s not that they don’t like the idea, but Emily and Brad just broke up, and production of the next edition of The Bachelorette is just too far off for anyone to even be approached yet.
Even before the interview on Monday night, Reality Steve weighed in on the possibility of Emily becoming The Bachelorette on his blog. He talked about what a difficult time she’s had with the paparazzi harassing her and her daughter, Ricki, saying he feels she wouldn’t want a repeat of the intense media attention nine months from now. He told his readers, “If by some miracle of God, Emily changes her mind and becomes the next “Bachelorette”, I will rip her mercilessly for the hypocritical stance. Get it out of your heads. It’s not going to happen.”
Emily herself told People in their July 11 issue that she is focused on being a mom. More to the point, Emily told Bachelor Pad winner Dave Good via Twitter on Tuesday July 12, ” I don’t want to be the bachelorette.” That seems pretty conclusive to us!
