Big Brother 13 Recap: Alliances Dissolve & Nominations Announced

July 17, 2011 06:57 PM by Ryan Haidet

Keith’s eviction last week turned the game of Big Brother into a who-dunnit mystery.  While they all thought their alliance was solid, two of the eight new players — Shelly and Kalia — secretly swapped sides and voted with the veterans to keep Porsche.  Those two votes unleashed a hunt for the rats responsible for dissolving all the trust within the newcomers.  With the nominations for eviction looming in tonight’s episode of Big Brother 13, the scrambling started immediately.  Read on for more details about tonight’s episode — and find out which two players have been nominated for eviction!

Feeling Betrayed

In the Have-Nots bedroom, the newbies discussed their lack of trust for one another while trying to smoke out the rats responsible for switching sides.  Shelly and Kalia both played it up like they weren’t the culprits behind betraying the alliance — and it appeared that most everybody believed them.  Instead, many suspicions fell against partners Adam and Dominic.  Interestingly, both guys were convinced the other was disloyal when neither of them were.

A New Alliance?

Clearly flirting with one another, Dominic and Daniele started forming an alliance of their own.  They were each working together to build a deal in which she could pull some strings to keep him in the game since he was feeling so unsafe.  Of course, Daniele was making him promise he would return the favor.

Superhero Boredom

With plenty of time on their hands, Brendon and Dominic tried to burn off some boredom by having a superhero battle around a stuffed turtle they named Franklin.  Brendon was wearing his goofy costume from last week’s PoV challenge while Dominic tied a towel around his neck.  After having a mock fight, the two broke out in a dance.

Fighting To Stay Alive

Worried about his position in the game, Adam went up to the HoH bedroom to chat with Jeff and Jordan.  He openly admitted he went against his word with them and voted to evict Porsche.  But concerned for his own safety, Adam then offered up his allegiance once again — this time sincerely.

Kalia’s Pain

After a silly Haves vs. Have-Nots competition that Brendon and Rachel won, Kalia was screaming with pain inside one of the obstacles on the course.  Her cries brought enough concern that a Big Brother medic entered the backyard to check things out.  Turned out there was actually nothing medically wrong with her, which Kalia admitted in confessional saying she was mainly sore and scared.

Anyway…  After Kalia’s wimpy wincing, Brendon and Rachel selected Shelly, Cassi, Dominic and Adam to be the Have-Nots for the week.  In addition to slop, America voted for all of the Have-Nots to snack on beef jerky and jelly beans for the entire week.

Dominic’s Deal

Upstairs in the HoH bedroom, Dominic laid it all out to Jeff and Jordan.  He offered up a deal to both of them while admitting he has no other options at this point in the game.  Naturally, Jeff and Jordan said if they were to cut a deal that he would have to promise he would be 100 percent loyal to them throughout the game.

When it came time for the Nomination Ceremony, Jordan announced she had selected Dominic and Adam to be up on the chopping block. This should be an interesting week!
