America’s Got Talent Live Results Recap: Did The Obvious Talent Move On After Last Night’s Horrible Performances?

July 20, 2011 08:03 PM by Lisa Princ

Last night on America’s Got Talent on NBC we watched most of the acts fail to impress, but which of talented contestants which make it to the next round? Keep reading to find out!

America’s Got Talent kicked off the second live results show with Piers Morgan telling Nick how disappointed he was in the acts last night and that he should have buzzed more than he did – yikes! Then it was straight to the results with the first group called up the stage: Rhinestone Ropers, Silhouttes, and Thomas John, in which Sharon Osbourne said it was obvious which act should move on. And Sharon was right on as Nick announced that the Silhouttes would be moving on the next round!

Next to take the stage was Hot Chelle Rae with a performance of “Tonight Tonight” and then it was time for more results. Steven Retchless, Attack Dance Crew and Geechy Guy were all called up next. Howie is grilled about who he thinks should move on and he says either Steven or Geechy, while Piers said that Attack Dance Crew was the best act. Howie was correct though as Nick announced that our male pole dancer, Steven Retchless would be moving on to the next round.

Dylan Andre, Danni Shay and Daniel Joseph Baker were next up on stage for their results and Piers was unsure why the three were there together as America normally leans towards to the singers. Piers went on to say that if the votes were based on last night, Daniel Joseph Baker should get it, but based on auditions he could not call it. Nick Cannon then announced that the act moving on to next round was Daniel Joseph Baker! So far, we are three for three in our predictions, let’s see if we can make it four!

America’s Got Talent live results show also brought us an acrobatic performance by Traces tonight. Then it was time for the final acts to hit the stage for their fate: The Smage Brothers Riding Show, Landon Swank and Mona Lisa. The act that America voted off was Mona Lisa, leaving The Smage Bros and Landon Swank, the magician up for the judges to keep or let go. After a brief break, the judges decided that the act moving on would be The Smage Brothers Riding Show, despite that Piers voted for Landon Swank. And that makes us four out of four in predicitions this week!

Tune in next week for more great performances on America’s Got Talent on NBC!

Very disappointed in this years result shows so far. The judges had the opportunity to put a lot of good talent in the running. Instead, they put in their place a lot of mediocer acts.
They should eliminate animal acts completely. Animals have no talent, just skill, and their masters no talent just skill. Skill is not talent, it is just SKILL!
Only one good one was put forward and that was the siloettes on last night’s show. The judges should listen to Pierce a little more, he knows talent most of the time. Riding a bike is not talent, it is just skill. The other 2 winners I hope will be voted out by America! They represent the strange part of our country and yes, they are talented , but extremely wierd!!!
