Hell’s Kitchen got off to a great start on Monday evening in the ratings as Fox’s hot cooking competition managed to land a 2.5 Nielsen rating for adults 18-49, which is the best Monday evening ratings for the network since 2008. Gordon Ramsay’s other cooking show, Masterchef remained steady as it has in past weeks with a 2.3 rating, while ABC’s The Bachelorette declined a bit to a 2.4 rating.
Fox won the night in the adult ratings, but lost in overall viewership. Hell’s Kitchen raked in 5.75 million viewers and Masterchef had 5.55 million tuning in. The Bachelorette which was down 15% with a ratings low, raked in 7.99 million viewers, but could not hang on to the key 18-49 group for the night.
Hell’s Kitchen definitely kicked off with a dramatic start to season nine, so maybe that explains why so many adults tuned in. What were you watching on Monday evening?
