Recent reports have claimed that non stop arguing was to blame for American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s split, but apparently there is more to the story than any of us knew. While the couple seemed happy on the surface, new revelations suggest that jealousy, insecurity and infidelity may have played a part in their breakup. Keep reading for more!
We already know that the powercouple of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were doing a lot of arguing lately, but sources are now coming out of the woodwork to reveal more issues that the couple had leading up to their announcement of their split. One inside friend of Jennifer Lopez revealed that Jennifer was always worried that her husband was not being faithful. The source told US Magazine: “Jennifer Lopez actually has low self-esteem. And Marc really played into that insecurity. That’s why she put up with his abuse for such a long time.” Jennifer Lopez with low self esteem? Do you buy that one? I am not sure I do.
Meanwhile, a source close to Marc Anthony told People Magazine: “They started to see life differently,” and went on to add that Marc was always faithful to Jennifer, and always supported her career. The magazine is also claiming that there was envy over American Idol and that Marc Anthony tried to control Jennifer Lopez quite a bit. That could very well explain why we have not heard anything about Jennifer returning to the judging panel next season, especially since older reports said Marc wanted her to focus more on their home life.
Despite the reason for the split of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, sources close to the couple say it is for the best, with one of their friends claiming: “Though they love, admire and respect each other very much, they just needed to be apart.” We wish them both the best of luck and hope they can move past this like adults for the sake of their children.
The power couple’s split still comes as a shock to us all – what do you think caused the split? Comment and share your thoughts with us!
