Big Brother has always been guilty of shameless tie-ins with other television shows, movies or products, and Sunday night’s episode will be no exception. A celebrity guest will enter the Big Brother 13 house one day this weekend for a surprise visit. But this isn’t all for the reaction from the houseguests, this is the way CBS is helping promote one of its own upcoming reality shows. Who is expected to visit the house? Read on to find out!
As Thursday night’s live eviction episode came to a close, host Julie Chen teased the upcoming celebrity visit. Who is it? It didn’t take long for the secret to leap out of the bag. In fact, CBS spoiled their own surprise in a promo that aired this morning.

In conjunction with the premiere of Same Name, which kicks off after Big Brother’s Sunday night episode, one of the new show’s celebrity stars will offer a visit to the remaining houseguests. Of course this will bring some excited reactions, but in all honesty, it’s simply a way to use Big Brother as a marketing tool for the network’s own good. After all, the episode of Big Brother with the celebrity visit airs this Sunday in the time slot immediately before the debut of Same Name.
The first episode of Same Name features David Hasselhoff as he switches places with an everyday guy who has the same name. The second episode features comic/reality star Kathy Griffin. Personally, I’m hoping Griffin is the guest entering the house, but it will likely be Hasselhoff since he’s the person involved in the premiere of Same Name.
Sunday night’s episode of Big Brother 13 will also deliver Rachel’s nominations for eviction.
