America’s Got Talent Live Results Recap: Maroon 5 And Jason Derulo Rock The Stage As Shocking Results Are Revealed!

August 03, 2011 07:36 PM by Lisa Princ

Last night on NBC‘s America’s Got Talent, we watched some amazing performances, and tonight was the live results. Not only did we get the live results, but we also got to see some some rocking performances by Jason Derulo, as well as Maroon 5! Keep reading to find out who made it through!

America’s Got Talent kicked off their live results show as Nick Cannon spoke with the judges and Piers Morgan said that he felt there would be some shockers tonight. Then it was into the results as Taylor Davis, Fatally Unique, Frank Myles, and Avery and the Calico Hearts were called up to the stage. Sharon Osbourne said they were all unique and she could not choose as to who deserved to move on. Nick then announced that the act that would be moving on was Fatally Unique. After the results, Piers Morgan said this was the most deserving act of the season to go through, as they had worked so hard to improve.

Before anymore results were revealed, Howie Mandel went chasing the cleaning lady in the parking lot, because, not surprisingly, she is his favorite person. Then Howie played some pranks on Sharon and Piers, ending with Piers chasing Howie around. Then we watched two awesome performances by Jason Derulo, including his latest hit: “Don’t Wanna Go Home.”

America’s Got Talent then brought us more results. Zuma Zuma and The Yellow Design Stunt Team, who were both great last night, were called up on stage. Piers Morgan was shocked to see both of them on stage and said that he thought they should both be moving on, but what did America say? Nick Cannon announced that America voted to send Zuma Zuma on to the next round!

Next up to hit the stage were Sam B, Team iLuminate and Scott Alexander for their fate. With no questions from the judges, Nick announced that Team iLuminate would be the third act tonight moving on to the next round. But the best stage presence of the evening was up next as Adam Levine and Maroon 5 took gave us a awesome performance of “Moves Like Jagger.”

Finally, the remaining acts were about to get their fate. Melissa Villasenor, Charles Peachock and The Kinetic King took the stage. So who would be facing the judges? America voted to send The Kinetic King home, leaving Melissa and Charles to face the judges. After pleading their cases, Nick Cannon announced that next week, we will get to see the YouTube acts take the stage and get to vote for them.

Sharon was up first with her choice, and though she said it was a tough decision, Sharon chose Melissa Villasenor. Piers Morgan was up next and expressed his disappointment that they couldn’t send through both, because good comedians and good jugglers were hard to come by. In the end, Piers chose Charles Peachock. It all came down to Howie Mandel at that point and Howie Mandel chose to send Melissa Villasenor to the next round!

Are you happy with the results? Did your favorite get sent through? Comment and share your thoughts with us!

Need new judges…only sensible and serious judge is Piers.. I miss David and Jerry Springer…Last night when they picked the girl over the juggler…I felt they didn’t take their job seriously…No Way…did she deserve it over him..
