Kalia found herself in a power position for the first time this summer on Big Brother 13 as the new Head of Household. But her decision on who to nominate was tougher than she expected — especially after Jeff unleashed his anger on her for potentially targeting him. What else happened on tonight’s episode and who did Kalia nominate for eviction? Read on to find out!
Rachel felt like Daniele got rid of Brendon with one goal — to hurt her. Rachel said that Daniele started a war and she will do anything possible to make sure Daniele goes home soon. On the other end of the spectrum, Rachel felt like Kalia was the worst person to win Head of Household for the week since she knew that she was going to be nominated for eviction. Jeff was bummed about Kalia’s victory, too. He also felt like he was going to be nominated for eviction.
There were also some tears shed on tonight’s episode. Naturally, most of them came from Rachel as she cried about missing Brendon. The other person who cried a bit was Kalia, who erupted in happy tears when she saw a photo of her mom in the HoH bedroom. She cried so hard that Jeff compared her reaction to that of seeing a loved one inside a casket.
Rachel went up to the HoH bedroom with a glass of wine to chat about the game with Kalia. Rachel immediately started sucking up to Kalia, telling her how much she respects her in the game. Oh, please! Rachel asked for safety from being nominated this week in exchange for safety next week. Kalia said in the Diary Room that it is an enticing concept to work with Rachel since nobody in the house would anticipate that. But she was also tired of Rachel and ready to see her walk out of the house.
Adam finally had the opportunity to retire the elf suit after wearing it for one week as punishment from a previous challenge. To celebrate the moment, Adam gathered everybody in the living room where he did a weird striptease, tossing each silly piece of clothing to the side. “I’m free!” he shouted when it was done, the red costume a heap on the floor.
Gulp It Down
For the Have vs. Have-Nots competition, the houseguests divided themselves into two different teams. Once in the backyard, the battle consisted of drinking gross concoctions made by the other team and then trying to guess the ingredients. It was tied until the final round, which Jordan lost to Daniele. Jordan was brought to tears and very upset that she was responsible for making her team (Jeff, Shelly and Rachel) the Have-Nots.
Once the competition was over, the contestants re-entered the house to learn America had voted for the Have-Nots to enjoy catfish and coconut in addition to slop for the entire week. Surprisingly, Rachel was excited about having the catfish and even thanked America.
Jeff and Jordan went up to the HoH to chat with Kalia about her plans for nominations — and all this did was spark angry feelings. When Kalia told them that Jeff and Rachel were her likely nominees, Jeff was instantly upset. Kalia promised that he is not the intended target, and she wanted him up on the chopping block so he could fight to save himself by having a guaranteed spot in the Power of Veto competition. He thought it was a crappy excuse and shouted at Kalia. Jeff then vowed to win the PoV, pull himself off the block and come after her the first chance he gets. He said that it wasn’t right for her to come after him when there are so many floaters getting away with doing nothing.
Here’s where another rant about Jeff comes in. Seriously, dude? Do you think nobody should nominate you for eviction? Ever? You’re such a hypocrite and it’s really getting irritating. At least Kalia was being honest with you in the fact that she was planning to nominate you. Then you freak out at the idea she is going to place you on the block? Get over yourself. It’s really getting old!
Before the Nomination Ceremony began, Rachel was bothering Daniele by nudging closer and closer to her. In response, Daniele shouted to Big Brother to ask if Rachel’s actions were OK. Rachel shouted back and tried to defend herself as Daniele scooted away.
In the middle of the Nomination Ceremony, Jordan voiced her opinion as she pulled her own key from the box. She said that it didn’t even matter since she would be the likely replacement nominee when one of the expected nominees, Jeff and Rachel, would win the PoV and come off the chopping block. When the final key was removed from the box, Kalia revealed the expected — she nominated Jeff and Rachel for eviction.
Who will win the PoV and will they use it to spare either Jeff or Rachel for eviction? Find out Wednesday night!
