When Bachelor Pad 2 premieres Monday night (August 8th), we’ll all get the awkward “hello” from Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi we’ve been waiting for since The Bachelor couple toxically split. Read on to find out what Jake had to say about living in the house with his ex and what’s up with all those nasty comments in the media.
You’ve heard all kinds of things Jake Pavelka has said leading up to his Bachelor Pad 2 premiere. The most notorious statement made about ex Vienna Girardi being, “I hope she falls 3,000 feet to her death.” Don’t be too quick to judge, however, because he’s not wishing death on anyone.
“I’m not gonna comment on editing, but I don’t wish anybody to death,” he revealed to Access Hollywood during ABC’s Television Critics Association party.
So, what was up with that demented comment? “You’re gonna have to watch the episode [on Monday] to see what I was really talking about. It was in relationship to a challenge,” Jake Pavelka explained.
Chris Harrison also weighed in on the comment, joking,“No, Vienna was not hurt or killed in the production of the Bachelor Pad.”
“It’s awesome to film Bachelor Pad… It’s the best show to host of all the shows I do, because it’s great. You have all these characters, they come back on their own volition,” Harrison told Access Hollywood. “There’s no tricks. You’ve come back, you know what’s going on. It’s a game show…You just kind of let them do their thing. It’s phenomenal.”
Even with Jake Pavelka meaning no harm to his ex, he still has to deal with the sight of her and new beau Kasey Kahl. Can you say drama?
“I became friends with everybody on the show. Probably, at a stone’s throw, I would say even Kasey and Vienna,” Jake admitted. He added, “At least I’m ready for a friendship, I can’t speak for her. She can take baby steps and you know, whenever she’s read…”
He’s still got a devilish streak when it comes to Vienna Girardi, however. “We started a conversation about a year ago and she abruptly stopped the conversation and… it was time to pick it up,” he said. “I reached out to her a couple of times throughout the year to no joy and… I knew she was gonna be on Bachelor Pad and I thought, whatev, what a perfect opportunity, to get to her.”
