Food Revolution’s Jamie Oliver was one of the many people whose business was destroyed due to the recent UK riots. The man with a passion for food and education took to Twitter to express his disappointment over the extent of damage his restaurant in Birmingham, England suffered.
Jamie Oliver tweeted, “Sadly my restaurant in Birmingham got smashed up windows all gone whole area closed, cant open, staff and customers all safe!!”
The restaurant known as Jamie’s Italian, is a chain that reportedly holds 270 people and sits in the Bullring shopping plaza.
He went on to write, “So sad to see whats happening in UK with these Riots!all gone mad !time to get our country back now we need 2 come down hard on these idiots.”
In happy news, the man known at one-time as the Naked Chef, said his Recipease school that is located in the Clapham Junction section of London was left unscathed. It was one of the only two businesses that was left untouched.
Our thoughts go out to those suffering from the recent UK riots.
