American Idol: Simon Cowell Would Have Rejected Lady Gaga!

Some of the most famous names of music have come from Simon Cowell and American Idol, but if Lady Gaga would have come to the show looking for a shot it wouldn’t have been pretty. Read on to see why Simon Cowell would have rejected her…
Simon Cowell knows how to make a star — just look at Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. So, why would he have turned down Lady Gaga if she came to American Idol looking for a break? She’s clearly a huge star now, so what gives?
Simon Cowell recently revealed to Life & Style he would have sent her straight out the door. “She would have been thrown out within 10 seconds,” Simon said if he she showed up when he was in charge.
The X Factor judge and former American Idol staple added, “Even if she had walked in with a lobster on her head, it would have been one of the kooky auditions,” he said.
Cue the millions of fans who are probably planning a well dressed revolt as we post this!
It’s okay, don’t worry, little monsters! Simon Cowell knows it was for the better. “Now you have to be more openminded and embrace that level of expression,” he explained. “You hope to God you can find someone like her.”
Lucky for us, Lady Gaga never approached American Idol. We might not have the dramatic songstress we have today.
Lady Gaga has the world by the hands with hit songs and videos keeping her fans happy. She’s also been a mentor on American Idol and recently guest judged on So You Think You Can Dance, where she turned emotional.

Are you kidding me? Lady Gaga is probably or not the best female singer out there right now. She always gives tremendous and memerable performances, not just because of her outfits but because of her talent. She actually sings live without playback, autotune or lip-synching. I can’t believe Simon actually had the balls to say that about her but yet he like Friday by Rebecca Black. He is one of the reasons why I don’t watch American Idol.

She is so much better than Idol. She didn’t need it to become famous, she worked her butt off in order to get noticed. She performed in countless gigs in NYC, worked as a writer for Interscope before getting a shot. And I am so glad she didn’t go through Idol, I might not have gotten into her if she had since I do not watch American Idol

She’s better than Idol, but I can see Simon’s point in that she is almost too “unique”, but thats why we love her
