America’s Got Talent Results Recap: Rebecca Black Rocks The Stage And YouTube Results

August 10, 2011 07:23 PM by Kristin Watson

America’s Got Talent dazzled us with 12 fantastic acts from the YouTube round tuesday night, but only four could move on. Read on to see who made it through and what crazy viral sensations showed up to give us a show…

America’s Got Talent and YouTube — what a brilliant combination. The YouTube results show kicked off with Nick Cannon calling Gymkana and Powerhouse to the stage. We knew this was going to be an easy one. Gymkana was fearless with their act and tumbling, while Powerhouse didn’t rise to Glee standards. Gymkana moved on to the semifinals.

We were then treated to an interesting and very short performance of YouTube sensation Tay Zonday’s Chocolate Rain.

Then the awesome Keenan Cahil came to the stage to perform his YouTube lip synch hit of Teenage Dream before teaming with Nick Cannon for some fun. Ok Go also stopped by to perform some funky moves with their new hit All Is Not Lost.

America’s Got Talent then gave us some more results. Matt Wilhelm, Aeon and TNC Elite were all fantastic Tuesday night but only one could go on. No matter which way it went, it was going to be a shock. Nick Cannon revealed that Matt Wilhelm was the next act to make it into the semifinals.

We love us some Rebecca Black and when she hit the AGT stage to perform a mash up of My Moment and Friday, we were shocked, but it worked. She’s not bad live.

Next up to hit the stage were Kalani Basketball Freestyle, Breena Bell, Kevin Colis and Bret Daniels.  The act that Nick Cannon sent through to the semifinals was Kevin Colis – and we couldn’t be happier! This guy killed his rendition of Bruno Mars’ Lazy Song and he even kind of looks like him. He’s such a humble man and America clearly saw his talent. Howie Mandel even said he could give the other singers “a run for their money.”

Before we could get to the final results, Up and Over it, the crazy hand dancers from the McDonalds commercial, gave us some hand action!

Finally, the remaining acts were about to get their fate with the judges’ choice. Gabe Rocks, West Springfield Dance Team and Beth Ann Robinson were called to the stage. So who would be facing the judges? America voted to send home Gabe Rocks, leaving West Springfield Dance Team and Beth Ann Robinson to face the judges.

Piers Morgan loved them both but went with Beth Ann Robinson. Sharon Osbourne was next and decided she wanted to see more of West Springfield Dance Team. Howie Mandel was the deciding factor. He sent Beth Ann Robinson to the next round.

In a shock, Sharon Osbourne decided to announce West Springfield Dance Team would join Landon Swank, The Kinetic King, Summerwind Skippers, Charles Peachock, Yellow Designs Stunt Team, Shevonne, J Chris Newbert, Those Funny Little People, Seth Grabel, The Fiddleheads and Avery and the Calico Hearts in the wildcard round.

Are you happy with the results? Did your favorite get sent through? Comment and share your thoughts with us!

“we love us some Rebecca Black???” let me guess “WE” also love ear, eye, and nose bleeds? She is the most useless artist, if i dare even catagorize her as such, since tayzon day or whatever the malnourished barry white wannabe’s name is. Get a F-in clue people. americas got as much talent as Iraq has feminists…

Your taste stinks. The hand dancers and OK Go were pretty good. The other 3 Youtube acts were just beyond amateur hour. Just cause it’s amusing to watch on a 30 second clip doesn’t mean it belongs on national TV.
