Tonight’s episode of Big Brother 13 spent a lot of time focusing on the mixed emotions from Brendon’s big return. Daniele and Kalia were regretting their decision to keep Rachel in the house, while nearly everybody else jumped up and down with excitement that Brendon was back. With their backs against the wall, Kalia and Daniele knew how important the Head of Household competition would be — and they were determined to win it!
The HoH competition was one we have seen in previous seasons — a game of making estimates. For example, the houseguests were shown what five pieces of pepperoni looked like on a pizza. They then had to guess how many pieces of pepperoni were used on a pair of large pizzas displayed before them. This was the concept throughout several rounds, each one featuring a different item.
Despite being outnumbered by the opposing alliance, Daniele won her second HoH of the season. “I’m really ready to take this house by storm once again!” she said in the Diary Room. Kalia said that calling the game of Big Brother a roller coaster would be the “understatement of the century.” Rachel was bummed that her alliance wasn’t in power — but was especially upset Daniele was the person who won. Instantly, Brendon started pouting about his alliance and their poor performance in the competition. He even started whining about coming back in the house. To calm his nerves, Rachel thought she might be able to convince Daniele to offer her a deal once again.
Newbies In Trouble
Daniele told Kalia that she was ready to cut Shelly out of any potential alliance since she clearly showed her true allegiance when Brendon came back in the house. As Shelly went upstairs to check in with Daniele, things got interesting. Shelly quickly realized that Daniele was frustrated with her and she became very nervous about the whole situation. She wound up kissing Daniele’s butt as she tried to cover her tracks — but Daniele wasn’t buying any of her stories.
Then there was Adam, who is also on the other side of Daniele’s alliance. He also tried to cut a deal with her — just like he seems to do every week with everybody else.
Brendon & Rachel Offer A Truce
Upstairs in the HoH bedroom, Rachel and Brendon joined Daniele for a quick chat about her plans for the week. Daniele asked them to explain how it would be beneficial for her to keep them in the game, so they simply agreed to make a secret truce. Although Daniele openly admitted she has issues with trusting them in the game, they tried to convince her it was time to move forward and squash their past problems. This is when Rachel started pushing Daniele to consider targeting Shelly.
And much to the surprise of many, Daniele didn’t nominate Brendon or Rachel for eviction. Instead, she revealed that Shelly and Adam were her nominees for the week.
What do you think now that Daniele is back in power? Who do you think will go home this week? Sound off and leave us a comment below!
