Hell’s Kitchen Recap: Enough Is Enough Already

August 15, 2011 06:31 PM by Lisa Princ

Last week on Hell’s Kitchen,we watched as none of the chefs were kicked out of the kitchen during service, but could that happen again this week? Not likely! When date night turns into a disaster, we are left asking ourselves – when is enough actually enough? Tonight, as the fighting comes to a head, will this be the end of the road for one of our drama queens? Read on for all the highlights!

Hell’s Kitchen kicked off tonight with Elise bragging once again about how “great” she is, yet we have yet to see it. Elise is put in her place by her team members in their challenge – creating a sexy dessert! Elise, one of the few contestants on the show who is married, claimed she knew how to make a sexy dessert, but it turned out that was not the case at all. After each chef created a sexy dessert for a panel of dessert expert judges, the red team was asked to get rid of one of their dishes to even the game, and Elise’s big mess of a dessert in an over-sized wine glass was the first one to get ditched.

Of course, that did not stop her mouth from running though on Hell’s Kitchen. Each dessert dish was judges with one to three stars by 2 expert pastry chefs. The blue team had a small lead on the red team, and when Carrie went up and only scored 2 stars total for her blondies, Elise started to foam at the mouth again – swearing her dish was better. Jennifer was the only member of both teams to create a perfect dish and earned her team 6 points and the win over the blue team. After Gordon Ramsay announced that the ladies had won, he asked Elise to present her dish anyway. Both Gordon Ramsay and the judges were disgusted by Elise’s dish and the amount of vinegar in it. Gordon then told her she would have gotten zero stars for her dish, adding to her humiliation.

For winning the challenge, the ladies were treated to a trip to Las Vegas, where they were waited on by butlers, while the blue team was in charge of cleaning, prepping, and setting up the dinning room for a date night dinner service! As the ladies enjoyed their time in Vegas, they were surprised by Holly Madison, who brought them some books, autographs and tickets to return to Vegas with a guest. But Vegas could not off without a hitch, right? Of course not! Elise started in on Carrie while the girls celebrated with their champagne, and Jennifer asked them to knock it off. Meanwhile, the blue team, was making the best of their punishment by having fun, after they antagonized Will a bit for completely blowing his dessert for the challenge.

Dinner service seemed to get off to a good start on Hell’s Kitchen, with the red team getting out appetizers at a steady pace. Over on the blue side, Tommy seemed to have his head up his you know what, as he could not get it together and was firing up food way too early. Chef Ramsay finally asked him to go get some air and come back. While Tommy was getting some “fresh air,” the ladies were dealing with their own issues as Elise was completely ignoring Carrie’s pleas for how much time until she was ready. Gordon Ramsay asked them to communicate, and was quickly sidetracked by a hair found in Jamie’s dish.

Jamie denied knowing the hair was there as she slowly started to seem like Tommy had passed his fogginess on to her. Carrie then tried to serve Gordon Ramsay fish that was burnt on one side, and when she denied noticing it, Chef Ramsay attempted to kick her out of the kitchen. But, Carrie would not leave quietly as she begged him to let her stay. Gordon Ramsay refused to let her stay, and she was soon joined by Paul, who sent out raw chicken and Elise, for numerous mistakes of her own. After a date night proposal, Gordon declared the blue team the winners tonight and asked the ladies to nominate two people for elimination.

It was no shocker that the red team nominated Elise and Carrie for elimination tonight. Jennifer was clearly irate with both of them and the entire team was fed up with the drama. After pleading their cases, Gordon Ramsay called them both up and told them both to go back in line, as he announced that Jamie was done and leaving Hell’s Kitchen due to her going down hill quickly. It was slightly shocking to see that and left us wondering once again – when is enough really enough? How much more drama can we deal with out of these two ladies? Maybe tomorrow night will bring the elimination of either Carrie or Elise, but we’ll have to wait until then to find out!

Elise has been a b**** since the first episode. She’s always saying she’s so great and fabulous, but I haven’t seen any sign of that. I like Will and Natalie to be the final two. Maybe Paul if he can stay on track long enough.

Elise is hilarious. I feel for the ladies because I wouldn’t be able to stand her, but Carrie is just as annoying.

Plus, Carrie put sugar in mashed potatoes. I can never forgive her and I’d at least like to see her go first.

Normally I have a favourite by now, but no one has emerged yet. I guess I find myself a little partial to Jennifer.

I find this season to be getting out of control. Why is chef Ramsey allowing the chefs to fight and disrespect each other, swearing at each other & bully each other. The professionalism of the chefs seem to be turning towards a “Jerry Springer” mentality. Chef Ramsey should force them to exhibit leadership skills as well as cooking skills because this type of behavior would never be tolerated in the restaurant. Who is in control Ramsey….the biggest bully???
