Tonight’s episode of Big Brother 13 was extremely predictable. Nothing shocking happened. Nothing. It began with Rachel crying over the fact that Brendon was put back up on the chopping block. Shocker! Then Brendon tried easing her tears. “Don’t count me out just yet,” he said. Surprised? Knowing he was most likely going to be eliminated for the second time this summer after a short return, Brendon and Rachel tried cutting deals with everybody. Who was evicted and who became the new Head of Household? Read on to find out!
Hoping to secure her safety next week, Daniele spent some time alone with Jeff and Jordan. Daniele started by owning up to targeting Jeff a few weeks ago, but swore neither of them are her targets any longer. “If there’s anything we can do to work together, I’m willing to do it,” she said. No deal was cut, but she definitely got the wheels turning in their heads.
On the other end of the spectrum, Brendon and Rachel were also working to get votes on their side from Jeff and Jordan. Brendon and Rachel were upset when Jeff and Jordan both said they would vote against them if there weren’t enough votes to keep him (Brendon) in the house this week. They still felt like they needed to play the game smart, and pissing off the rest of the house by not voting with the majority would be bad for them. When Rachel was pouting about Jeff’s answers, he stood up and told her he was tired of the attitude.
Visiting With Shelly’s Daughter
Each season, it’s typical for us to see interviews with some of the houseguests’ family members. But tonight’s family interview was one of the best I’ve ever seen as Shelly’s daughter (Josie) offered up her thoughts on this season. Josie said that her mom needs to stop telling lies and just pick a side. I agree, Josie! She also said that her mom’s best alliance is with Jeff and Jordan. But the funniest part came when Josie was shown watching an episode and telling Rachel to shut up.
History Repeats Itself
After host Julie Chen reminded us multiple times that we (America) voted Brendon back in the house, he was evicted for the second time — Rachel was the only person who voted against Shelly. Another predictable moment. The most unpredictable aspect struck when Rachel didn’t shed a single tear. She actually held herself together as Brendon walked out of the house for the second time. I was actually impressed with her.
For the HoH competition, all of the contestants were wearing goofy slippers as they slid along a slippery path. This challenge is one that has been featured on the show before — walking back and forth on the slippery course with a small container. The first person to transport enough liquid from one end of the course into a container at the other side would win the power of HoH. As the show came to a close, it appeared that Porsche was doing the best. Who won HoH? We aren’t sure yet.
What was your opinion on tonight’s episode? Are you happy Brendon is gone for the second time? Who do you think will win the HoH competition? Sound off and leave a comment below!
