America’s Got Talent‘s crude judge, Piers Morgan is known for his sarcasm, but the CNN host was not being sarcastic when he asked Christine O’Donnell about gay marriage. Reluctant to give Piers an answer, Christine stormed out on him instead – but why? Read on to find out!
America’s Got Talent judge, Piers Morgan is known for his rudeness to contestants, and fellow judge, Howie Mandel, but was his rudeness the cause for Christine O’Donnell walking out on him? Tea Party favorite Christine O’Donnell walked out on Piers Morgan during an interview last night when Piers asked for her thoughts on gay marriage. Christine O’Donnell was doing the interview to promote her new book called “Troublemaker: Let’s Do What it Takes to Make America Great Again,” and apparently she did not appreciate being grilled by Piers.
Christine O’Donnell said: “I’m promoting the policies that I laid out in the book that are mostly fiscal, that are mostly constitutional. That’s why I agreed to come on your show. That’s what I want to talk about. I’m not being weird. You’re being a little rude,” after Piers asked why she was being so “weird” about answering the question. Piers Morgan responded to Christine O’Donnell’s statement by saying: “I’m baffled as to why you think I’m being rude. I think I’m being rather charming and respectful. I’m just asking questions based on your own public statements and now what you’ve written in your own book. It’s hardly rude to ask you that, surely.”
Piers Morgan remained cordial as Christine O’Donnell walked off claiming she was being “pulled away,” but we all know she was just avoiding his questions. Piers even offered her another interview in which she would have a chance to explain the walk off, but she replied via Twitter with: “Piers, thanks for the invite. Schedule is already packed, maybe another night. No hard feelings, you cheeky bugger.”
Do you think Piers Morgan was being rude to Christine O’Donnell? Or do you think Piers was correct and Christine should not have walked off? Comment and share your thoughts with us!
