The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills: Premiere Delayed, Plus Russell’s Grandma Speaks Out

August 19, 2011 06:08 AM by Megan Thompson

It’s been speculated that due to the tragic suicide of Russell Armstrong, estranged husband of Taylor Armstrong, that Bravo would delay the premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  Keep reading to find out what Bravo has decided and learn what Russell’s grandma is saying about her beloved grandson.

In the wake of the awful news that Russell Armstrong committed suicide, The Hollywood Reporter is stating Bravo will delay the premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  They are reporting that the popular series will be delayed by at least a week, possibly more, due to re-editing of some episodes.  Bravo hasn’t confirmed this news, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they delayed the premiere out of respect for Taylor and her daughter Kennedy.

Family has begun speaking out and defending Russell.  Now Russell’s grandmother is sharing her last conversations with her grandson, which reveal he was trying to make a decision of what to do – possibly to commit suicide or not? Jean Anders, Russell’s grandmother, spoke with RumorFix and shared their chilling words.  Jean shares, “We spoke on the phone on Friday night and he said Grandma, I have the biggest decision to make, I’m out of options.  I need help and I just don’t know what to do anymore.”  The following day she spoke with him again and she says he was much calmer Jeans says, “He said he had come to a decision at last.  He said he was going to leave.  And I thought he meant leave California, or maybe his marriage.”  Of course, his grandma never thought Russell would end his life.  Jean adamantly defends Russell in response to all the negative press he has received saying, “He was such a wonderful person, such a loving father and husband.”
