Tonight’s episode of Big Brother 13 began right where it left off last Thursday. The contestants were battling it out for the power of Head of Household in a slippery race. As they each fought to fill up a glass bowl by walking back and forth on the slick path, it was like watching America’s Funniest Home Videos since everybody kept falling down. Who won the challenge and who has been nominated for eviction? Read on to find out!
The New HoH
Although Daniele was cheering for Kalia on the sidelines, it didn’t help much. She kept sliding more behind as Jeff eventually pulled ahead and claimed victory after one hour and 38 minutes. With that, he became the first man to win HoH this summer. “This is a critical week, so I can’t be happier,” he said in the Diary Room.
Later on, after Jeff showed everybody his HoH bedroom, Rachel was the only person who stuck around when the rest of the houseguests walked out. This simply pissed Shelly off who was quickly becoming tired of Rachel and her phony attitude. So she rushed back upstairs and called Rachel out for always making dirty faces at her. After Rachel denied being nasty toward her, Shelly asked for a clean slate so they could build a stronger alliance. When the dust settled, Jeff was shocked that Rachel kept herself under control.
On The Opposite Side
In addition to slop for the week, America voted for the Have-Nots to eat hard-boiled eggs and jalapenos this week. But there wasn’t a Have vs. Have-Nots competition. Instead, Jeff was given the duty of selecting three people to be Have-Nots for the week. He quickly (and easily) chose Daniele, Kalia and Porsche.
As one would expect, Kalia, Porsche and Daniele all talked strategy with Jeff in hopes that he wouldn’t target them for eviction this week. I do have to give Jeff credit for the way he handled it all. He was very blunt with Kalia and told her that she was likely going to be one of the nominees this week — especially since she nominated him a few weeks back. As far as Porsche was concerned, he told her that she needed to step up and start playing the game since that was the first time in 49 days she tried to talk strategy with him.
With Daniele, Jeff told her that the deal they made was sealed. He told her it was all still good although he admitted in the Diary Room that he has plans to backdoor her this week. When he asked her what she would do if she would win the Power of Veto this week, Daniele said she would considering losing it on purpose.
At the Nomination Ceremony, it was revealed that Jeff selected to put Kalia and Porsche on the chopping block this week. He said the reasoning was simple — with only eight people left in the game, he wanted to see them finally step up to play. Then in the Diary Room, he made it clear that his plan is to backdoor Daniele this week.
Who will win the PoV and will they use it to spare somebody from elimination? Who do you hope goes home this week during the special double eviction episode? Sound off and leave a comment below!
