Lindsay Pearce Didn’t Win The Glee Project But She Will Still Appear On Glee

August 22, 2011 09:08 PM by Veronica Dudo

It’s been a long first season for the contenders on The Glee Project who have been vying to win the grand prize–a seven episode guest starring role on FOX’s hit TV show Glee. On Sunday night’s finale, the final four: Alex Newell, Damian McGinty Jr., Lindsay Pearce, and Samuel Larsen met their fate. While Lindsay didn’t win, Glee creator Ryan Murphy gave her a two episode guest starring role. Keep reading to find out who she’s excited to work with from the Glee cast!

Fans watched Samuel, 19; Lindsay, 20; Alex, 18; and Damian, 18 stand up on stage and wait to hear who won but in a shocking twist, it was a tie with Samuel and Damian both winning. The surprises continued when Murphy told Alex and Lindsay they both will have a two episode guest starring role on the show!

In the moment you were standing on the stage waiting for the winner to be announced, what name did you think would be called?
I thought it was going to be Alex or Damian.

How hard has it been to keep the results a secret?
Really hard.

Who are you most excited to meet from Glee?
Chris Colfer!

Do you have any idea the type of character you will be portraying on Glee?
I don’t really know much at all but I’m really excited to see what they’re going to have me sing and what they’ll have us do and who we will be working with, regardless it’s all going to be incredible and it’s going to be a pleasure and an honor and a fantastic ride.

If you could pick your love interest on Glee who would you pick and why?
Alex says that I would be paired well with Artie but I don’t know, I really have no idea–maybe Jesse St. James can come back from college again.

After watching the episodes of The Glee Project, is there anything that you would like to improve about yourself?
I definitely feel that I really had to get out of my own way. I kind of learned that it’s ok to not do everything exactly right sometimes the flubs are the best things and I definitely learned to get out of my own way and learned how to act in front of a camera it was definitely different.
