Survivor: South Pacific — Meet The 16 New Castaways

It’s time to get excited, Survivor fans!  The 16 new players set to battle on Survivor: South Pacific were introduced today — including one who has a very familiar last name.  Hantz ring a bell?  No, Russell Hantz is not back for a fourth time, but his 19-year-old nephew will take his first shot at the $1 million this season.  The new cast also features a lingerie football player, a mortician, a retired NYPD detective, a spoken word artist (?), a country music singer and a medical marijuana dispenser.  Want to know more about the cast?  Read on to meet them all!

Survivor: South Pacific features 16 new players (identified below) and two returning castaways who will be announced later this week although their identities have been widely spoiled.  The castaways will be divided into two tribes, each named for a Samoan island, Savaii (red) and Upolu (blue).

Mark Caruso, 48

John Cochran, 24

Whitney Duncan, 27

Survivor: South Pacific, which marks the show’s 23rd season, is set for a 90-minute premiere on Wednesday, September 14.  The finale of Big Brother 13 follows.
