It is now being reported that filming for season five of The Real Housewives of New York City is being delayed! Yes, our New York ladies are being pushed back. Keep reading to find out if Bravo delayed the show because of the tragic death of Russell Armstrong.
The girls of New York were supposed to start filming over Labor Day weekend, but now that’s not going to happen. HuffPost Celebrity is reporting that one of The Real Housewives Of New York City cast members told them, “We all received an email saying we would start filming September 8th, when Fashion Week started in the city. Now we have all been notified that it has been pushed back another three weeks at least.”
It has been speculated that Bravo has delayed the show until the media buzz around Russell Armstrong’s, Taylor Armstrong’s estranged husband, tragic suicide slows down some. HuffPost was also told by several of The Real Housewives of New York City that, “We have all been approached to appear on TV and tell the behind-the-scenes truth about the series. But before we do that we want to see who is not going to be invited back. Those that are, are not about to bite the hand that feeds them.” That could explain that besides some tweets of condolences, no one from any of The Housewives series are talking to the media about Bravo.
So what’s Bravo take on the delay? According to Bravo there is absolutely no correlation between Russell’s death and the delay of the New York City filming. In a statement Bravo explains, “The shoot schedule for RHNYC was pushed due to production details that needed to be finalized and there is absolutely no correlation between RHNYC and RHBH production concerns.”
Let us know if you believe Bravo or if you think they are delaying the NYC girls in hopes to keep them quiet for a little while longer. Sound off below!
