America’s Got Talent Results Recap: Last Night’s Choices Proved To Be Suicidal For Some

August 24, 2011 07:07 PM by Lisa Princ

Last night the semi-final rounds began on America’s Got Talent with some hot acts, but tonight some of these talented acts will be heading home. We also saw some great performances tonight such as Demi Lovato, but we know you really want to know which acts moved on, so keep reading to find out!

America’s Got Talent kicked off their live results show with Piers Morgan mocking Nick Cannon’s polka dot suit, followed by Howie Mandel commenting on how talented the acts were last night. First up to hit the stage were Sandou Trio Russian Bar, Zuma Zuma, Team iLuminate and Matt Wilhelm for their results. Next, Nick announced that the act moving on was Team iLuminate! Obviously, it was well deserved, and the judges were pleased to see them move on – too bad Sandou Trio blew it last night, we would have loved to see some more of the Russian Bar.

Next up we saw a performance of “Skyscraper” by Demi Lovato and then it time for another cat fight between Nick and Piers over Nick’s jacket – Nick Cannon told Piers Morgan that his jacket was trending on Twitter! Poplyfe and Lys Agnes were up next to learn to their fate. After a quick review of their performances, Nick Cannon revealed that both Lys Agnes and Poplyfe would be moving on to the top 10! Well deserved as both of these acts were phenomenal last night!

Next up on America’s Got Talent’s live results were Miami All-Stars, Melissa Villasenor and Kevin Colis for their fate, but would it be the comedian who finally made Piers Morgan smile? Nope! Nick Cannon announced that the act moving to the top ten was Miami All Stars! Next up, we saw a crazy performance by last season’s Prince Poppycock, followed by New Boyz.

Finally, it was time for the final results of the evening as Beth Ann Robinson, Daniel Joseph Baker and West Springfield Dance Team took the stage to find out their fate. After America voted, Nick Cannon revealed that Beth Ann Robinson would be heading home, leaving West Springfield Dance Team and Daniel Joseph Baker to plea for another chance by the judges. After a brief break, the judges decided that the final act moving on would be West Springfield Dance Team!

I will never watch again after Pierce and Howie voted Danial Baker off, we have watched every episode since it first started, now after sending someone home that could have took it all, for a dance team that you know won’t finish, it’s just to much.

I was thinking the same thing last night…I mean, why bother putting the dance crew through when the show is loaded with dance crews, and that one in particular is not as good as some of the others, in my opinion anyway.
