Designing Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Dresses: Vera Wang Dishes Details!

August 24, 2011 07:00 AM by Kristin Watson

E! star Kim Kardashian called on Vera Wang to create three wedding dresses and what she got was perfection. Read on to compare the details of all three dresses and find out what what Vera Wang has to say about the experience.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Kim Kardashian, was in quite a predicament up until days before her wedding — she had no clue what dress of the three created by Vera Wang she was going to wear when she walked down the aisle.

Kim admitted to People.“I truly, up until two days before [the wedding], could not decide which to wear.” What she ended up going with, obviously, was the above dress, which gave her the “princess look.”

“It was Cinderella,” Vera Wang told People. She added, “But Cinderella with a very sexy body. She has a very Liz Taylor or Sofia Loren kind of body and we didn’t want to lose that.”

The ball gown complete with a full tulle skirt, basque waist and Chantilly lace applique on the bodice and train let her have the “look at me moment” that every bride dreams of.

Her second dress, or the first dance dress, ended up being Wang’s “favorite.”

It was a sexy, Georgette mermaid dress with “hand-pieced Chantilly lace applique on the bodice.” This one might be our favorite too, but we have to see pictures of the bride in the dress before we decide.

As you can see from the picture above, it hugged her in all the right spots and the hand-cut organza petals intermixed with “Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery” were the perfect touch of class.

Kim Kardashian wanted to get her party on, so she went with the above “bias-cut crepe-back satin gown with v-neck and circle skirt,” when it came time to let her hair down for the fun part of the reception.

Of course, no Kardashian dress is complete without Lorraine Schwartz bling.

Vera Wang said of working with Kim Kardashian, “It was a wonderful process. The fact that she came to me for having a certain classicism mixed with modernity, I feel very honored.”
