Well, it’s finally official. CBS announced today that Ozzy Lusth and Benjamin “Coach” Wade are the two returning players set to battle it out on Survivor: South Pacific. This hasn’t been much of a secret since fans have been chatting about their return for quite some time. I think the biggest shocker is Ozzy’s hair (picture above)! He looks a little too much like Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. Don’t you agree? What else does their return mean to this season? Read on to find out!
In the same vein as last season with “Boston Rob” Mariano and Russell Hantz, both Ozzy and Coach will be introduced to the 16 newbies early in the first episode before they each randomly select which tribe they will join. CBS says Coach winds up on the Upolu (blue) tribe, while Ozzy ends up on the Savaii (red) tribe.
This is the third time Coach and Ozzy have each competed on Survivor. Coach first appeared on the 18th edition — Survivor: Tocantins — before returning to compete on Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains (season 20). Ozzy made his debut on Survivor: Cook Islands (season 13) before returning on Survivor: Micronesia — Fans Vs. Favorites (season 16). Neither has won the game thus far, but Ozzy has been close. He finished in second place against Yul Kwon on Survivor: Cook Islands.
Do you think Ozzy or Coach have a shot at winning the game like “Boston Rob” did last season? Are you happy they are back to play again? What do you think of Ozzy’s hair? Sound off and leave a comment below!
