What could possibly be worse than your son falling and getting a black eye? Someone accusing you of child abuse, that’s what. That is exactly what NBC‘s The Voice mentor, Christina Aguilera, is dealing with as earlier this week, a gossip website posted some pictures of Christina’s son with a black eye, and even went as far as accusing the singer of child abuse. But Xtina and her lawyers are not taking it lightly – read on for all the details!
Earlier this week, gossip website MediaTakeOver apparently got their hands on a photo of Christina Aguilera’s 3-year-old son with a black eye and decided to start some rumors of their own, claiming that The Voice mentor did it to her son Max. The website posted: “Normally we would just chalk this up to a CLUMSY KID. But the word on the street is that Christina has a DRINKING PROBLEM … so who knows WHAT could have happened. Someone needs to look into this.” So not only did they accuse Christina of child abuse, but they also accused her of having an alcohol problem.
But Christina Aguilera did not take the accusation lightly as she immediately got her lawyers involved, and rightfully so. Christina’s lawyer fired back at the site by saying: “Christina is a wonderful mother and was not present in the park when Max fell and hurt himself. To imply that she had something to do with this incident, without any investigation on your part whatsoever, is reckless and unconscionable.” As her lawyers threatened the website with a lawsuit over the false claims, they questioned whether or not the site had no shame. Since the threatening letter, the website has removed the accusation, but not the photo.
What do you think of these claims? As a mother of four children, I feel for Christina – One of my children was actually born with a birth defect that caused him to wear casts for a while, and you would not believe the looks and accusations my family endured, so my heart goes out to Christina Aguilera over these ridiculous claims. Keep your head held high Christina, we know better!
