Billy Ray Cyrus’ New Single Hits The Internet Just In Time For The 10 Year Anniversary Of 9/11

August 26, 2011 10:56 AM by Lisa Princ

Last night we learned that former Dancing With The Stars contestant on ABC, Billy Ray Cyrus, is going to be a grandfather. But, did you know that Billy Ray’s new single, which has not been released on the air yet, has hit the internet, and it’s allĀ  about 9/11. Read on to find out all about his new single that comes just in time for the 10 year anniversary of the tragic event!

Dancing With The Stars’ season four contestant, and country music singer, Billy Ray Cyrus released a new album back in June, and the most heartfelt single off the album titled “Nineteen,” has yet to be aired on the radio. Luckily for us, the single is all over the web if you search for it. “Nineteen” by Billy Ray Cyrus tells the story of a football student who turns down the chance of lifetime to serve his country, after watching the 9/11 attacks.

In the past, “Nineteen” has been recorded by several artists and has not taken off too well, but we think this one may very well be a huge hit. According to Miley Cyrus’ webpage, the track was set to be released in November of this year, but it has ended up all the web. If you want to listen for yourself, you can check out Billy Ray Cyrus and click on “Nineteen.”

Fans all over are saying what a great take they feel that this song is, and the timing of it is perfect, with the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 right around the corner. Billy Ray Cyrus Tweeted this week about the responses to “Nineteen” saying: “Just wanted everyone to know how much your kind words about “19″ have meant to me today.” We love the song, and hope it gives Billy Ray Cyrus another hit! Take a listen and tell us what you think of this new tune!

I have Billy Ray’s latest album, “I’m American” and it is fantastic. “Nineteen” is one of my favorite songs from the album and I am so happy that he has released it as his next single. I sure hope I can hear it on radio soon.

Billys okay, but this song was on Taylor Hicks last album “The Distance” and with his voice and emotional delivery Billys really pales in comparison.
Taylor sings it at most of his shows, at all the many shows he had done for the military, for the Bama rising show and it always gets a standing ovation. For Taylors fans it will always be Taylors song. It was going to be Taylors single off the album but they changed their minds at the last minute. That was a mistake I think.
Many people have recorded the song over the years but none have done it as well as Taylor.

Billys okay, but this song was on Taylor Hicks last album “The Distance” and with his voice and emotional delivery its the best I have heard.
Taylor sings it at most of his shows, at all the many shows he had done for the military, for the Bama rising show and it always gets a standing ovation. The flute at the end is just the best.
Many people have recorded the song over the years
