The first season of Dirty Soap is gearing up. The E! reality show will follow seven soap stars as they navigate their personal and professional lives off camera. If you’re not familiar with the cast, we’re here to help. First up is Kelly Monaco. Keep reading for the scoop on the General Hospital star.
While Kelly Monaco currently stars as Sam McCall, who is involved in a red hot relationship with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) on the ABC soap opera General Hospital, you might also recognize her from a few other places. She just so happens to have snagged the very first mirror ball trophy in season one of Dancing with the Stars. Prior to General Hospital, Kelly was seen in the series Baywatch, and Spin City, as well as the TV movie Football Wives. She also starred as Livvie and Tess on the General Hospital spin-off Port Charles from 2002-2003 and was the Playboy Playmate of the Month in April 1997.
Kelly expanded her dancing resume by performing in Las Vegas’ Peepshow. Monaco pulled double duty in 2009 acting on General Hospital while also appearing in the Planet Hollywood burlesque act.
As for her personal life, Kelly recently ended a long term relationship with her high school sweetheart. Dirty Soap will follow her as she prepares to take a stab at dating in L.A. Apparently, the question of the season for Kelly will be if she is ready to let go of her troubled past. It looks like we could also see plenty of Kelly with her friend and Dirty Soap co-star Kirsten Storms, who plays Maxie on General Hospital.
Now that we’ve given you a refresher course on Kelly, get to know her better when Dirty Soap debuts on September 25.
