The Primetime Emmy Awards are next Sunday (Sept. 18), but a few early winners have already been revealed thanks to the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony held this past Saturday (Sept. 10). Read on to see how many awards Deadliest Catch and Jeff Probst won…

When you hear Emmy Awards, do you immediately think of reality shows? If you answered no, you should have said yes — they’re up for nods just like the primetime dramas and comedies you love.

The Primetime Emmy Awards are being hosted by Jane Lynch on Sept. 18, but we can already reveal a few reality show winners who walked away with trophies at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sept. 10.

Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch had a big night, taking home four awards, including noncompetition reality program. The show that features danger on the sea was worthy of the hardware for simply putting their crews life on the line.

This is not going to come as much of a shock. Jeff Probst, Survivor host extraordinaire, represented for a fourth-time as reality-competition host winner. That’s good news for all you Survivor fanatics out there.

If you’re curious as to which competition shows are up for the big prize at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 18, here’s sneak peek.

Outstanding Reality – Competition Program
