We get it. You’re excited for tonight’s 90-minute premiere of Survivor: South Pacific. If you can’t wait for the show to start in a few hours, we’ve got a glimpse into the show’s opening sequence. Want to see how it all begins? Watch the video inside the article!
CBS.com has posted the first 78 seconds, which features only Ozzy and Coach as they fly overhead in a helicopter. They are each showcased in early confessionals in which they offer their thoughts on the game.
It starts with Coach. “I’ve played this game twice. I haven’t been successful. This time, I’m trying to control my sense of self-righteousness and judgment on the others. I’m back because this is one more shot for me to prove to everybody that I can own this game and that it can be done with honor and integrity.”
Then we move to Ozzy. “I’ve been the guy that’s able to climb coconut trees and hunt fish. I’ve also been really strong in challenges, but I don’t think I’ve had the best strategy. This time, I’m more mature and I’ve learned from my mistakes. I need redemption because I feel like I just haven’t been able to lock my hands on the million dollars. I’ve almost been there a few times, I just haven’t been able to finish.”
After that, host Jeff Probst is shown standing in front of this season’s Redemption Island arena (see first image). It’s simple, but looks pretty cool.
