When you go on a show like Bachelor Pad 2 and find out on national television that the love of your life is engaged to a person you originally thought you had an alliance with — you’re going to have some regrets. Read on to find out what Michael Stagliano’s biggest BP2 regret was and how he’s dealing with the Holly Durst and Blake Julian engagement.
Despite winning ABC’s Bachelor Pad 2 with Holly Durst, Michael Stagliano was thrown off guard when Chris Harrison put Holly on the spot in regards to her engagement to Blake Julian during the reunion show.
After having time to process everything, Michael spoke to reporters during a conference call and according to Reality TV World, he had this to say when asked about regrets: “Yeah, that’s a really fair question. I always kind of dislike — not dislike, but — it always seems like kind of a half-truth when people say, ‘I don’t have any regrets! I don’t regret anything!’ Even when something really bad happens, they’re like, ‘Oh, no. I don’t regret that.’ You know, I do kind of regret some of what happened.”
He went on to say, “I think mainly, none of this really exactly aired, but kind of putting trust in Blake. Blake and I kind of agreed before it happened to let Holly go on that date, and I talked to Holly about it and I kind of trusted Holly enough and trusted where we were at in getting back together and kissing and kind of falling in love again — I trusted that maybe a little too much.”
Interesting nugget of information considering Blake Julian said Michael and Holly didn’t “return the favor” during his exit interview with reporters when he was voted out of the house — with Holly’s vote being the nail in the coffin.
One thing Michael doesn’t regret, is turning his feelings onto love again — even if Holly didn’t return the romantic notation. “I say that because after I had broken up with Holly in March and between that date and when we started filming at the beginning of June, I was so turned off to dating and love and just ate ice cream and watched romantic comedies and like cried in the corner, you know?”
Interesting, he ate a pint of ice cream. He sounds like he could be a nice sensitive guy, ladies. Snatch him up!
Michael went on to say, “So even though it was not another girl — it was just Holly — it was so good. I gotta love her. I love love. I love falling in love. I love friends that I love. I love family that I love.”
He tied all that up into a neat bow, finishing the subject saying, “…I’m totally ready to date again! You know what I mean? It kind of needed to happen, so yeah. I don’t regret the love stuff.”
He isn’t shy about saying he’d be on The Bachelor either, so who knows!
What do you think, can he move on now?
