Chaz Bono is sure feeling the love from his Dancing with the Stars family. Everyone at the ABC show has come out in support of Chaz, at least that we know of, and Mark Ballas is the latest. Read on for the details as he makes a good point about politics and dance.
Chaz Bono isn’t backing down to the negative nellies that think the transgender activist shouldn’t be a part of Dancing with the Stars.
Pro Mark Ballas, one of Chaz’s DWTS family members, actually calls the haters situation “whack.” Really, whack? Haven’t heard that word used in a while — bring it back, Mark!
According to an interview with TVLine, Mark Ballas thinks Chaz Bono is “a lovely person” and he’s “rooting for him” 100%.
During part of the interview, which echoes what we’ve been saying all along, he said, “This is a dance show at the end of the day.”
Mark added, “It’s not politics. It’s a dance show. He’s going to do great, and he’s lovely. So good luck to him.”
He also touched on same-sex pairing during the interview. “If you put two women together, a woman’s never going to be able to lift another woman over her head like a man.”
He continued, “And if you put two men together, no matter how hard you [try], a man is never going to be able to move like a woman… But am I up for it? Totally. I’m not against it at all.”
With all this talk of controversy, Mark Ballas has his own partner, Kristin Cavallari, to worry about if he’s going to win season 13 of Dancing with the Stars.
Kristin could sneak up on us and turn out to be one to watch if Mark trains her like he’s known to do with contestants.
Hey, he made Bristol Palin look decent.
What do you think — is the Chaz Bono chat dying down now that people are having a chance to deal with it? Dancing with the Stars premieres on Sept. 19 on ABC.
