September 15, 2011 04:42 PM by Kristin Watson

The Real Housewives of New York City: Who will be returning? While we can’t answer that for sure, we can tell you that there are a bunch of conflicting reports out there saying Jill Zarin, Alex McCord and Kelly Bensimon have gotten the axe. Immediately after those reports leaked, another popped up that Cindy Barshop was also fired. With all these conflicting firing reports, what are we to believe? Read on to find out what’s going down…

According to a report from The Clicker, The Huffington Post dropped some interesting housewives news pertaining to Bravo’s New York ladies, which included the firing of Jill Zarin, Alex McCord and Kelly Bensimon.

It’s being reported the ladies were given the boot Thursday (Sept. 15). As quickly as that news leaked, more surfaced that said Cindy Barshop was also a part of the large firing hammer.

Bravo has yet to comment on who indeed will be back and who won’t be and made a point to tell E! Online that, ”No decisions have been made yet.”

Jill Zarin’s rep reportedly also denied the rumors, telling Us Weekly, “The truth is that Jill is still in discussions with Bravo for season five and hasn’t made a final decision about returning to the show.”

If the denials weren’t enough, a source is telling E! Online, “Alex and Simon (Van Kempen) are both shell-shocked. They didn’t see it coming.”

The source added, “They’ve just lost the $275,000 income they were making for the season.”

Wow, that’s a lot of cash! How do we become a housewife?

If you’re wondering what’s up with Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer — it looks like you can stop, they’ll be back.

In fact, E! Online is reporting via the source, “Bravo found new women. Ramona (Singer) knows these women — she introduced them to Bravo. The Countess knows two as well.”

They added, “They wanted real New York society women. They wanted people that live in fabulous townhouses. They wanted to bring the fabulousness of Beverly Hills to new York.”

We have a thought, we’ll bringing you the official word once Bravo drops the real goods! While we wait on that, tell us who you hope will be back!
