Former ABC reality contestant of Dancing with the Stars, Kirstie Alley, revealed she lost 100 pounds and recently strutted her new body on the Zang Toi runway, but Tim Gunn isn’t exactly buying the claim that she’s a size four. Read on for the details…
During an interview with Tampa-based radio station 98.7 FM, Lifetime’s reality show mentor said, “There is a phenomenon out there right now that I call the lying deceptive shell game of vanity sizing. In fact a four is really a six or an eight.”
Wait, what? Hold up, have we been bragging about the wrong size ourselves?
Tim Gunn went on, further explaining his reasoning: ”We took a size 8 dress from 1980, one from 1990 and one from 2000 and compared them — the difference between them was two and a half inches in the waist alone!”
Tim Gunn, meaning no disrespect, said he thinks Kirstie Alley is about an eight or ten based off of his theory, saying, ”But she looks fabulous.”
The fashion-man added, “People are too size conscious.”
Whether she’s a size four or eight, Kirstie Alley is still looking as fierce as ever.
She recently told Entertainment Tonight, “I feel like I’m back in my element. I honestly didn’t even realize what I looked like.”
Way to go, Kirstie! What do you guys think — should Kirstie Alley forget the numbers game?
