Dirty Soap Bio: John-Paul Lavoisier

September 22, 2011 09:00 AM by Lori Wilson

Reality TV Magazine has been taking a look at the cast of Dirty Soap to help those who aren’t in the soap opera know get familiar with the actors the cameras will be following. Our next subject is One Life to Live star John-Paul Lavoisier. Keep reading to find out more about him.

John-Paul hails from Pennsylvania where he studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, but went on to pursue a modeling career. He joined One Life to Live in 2002 playing former bad boy turned lovable rascal Rex Balsam. He began dating his onscreen love interest Farah Fath after she joined the New York based soap opera.

In addition to starring on One Life to Live, John-Paul has also appeared in an episode of All My Children, Sex and the City and Gossip Girl, the movies One Day in May and Wolves of Wall Street, and a few off-Broadway plays including Discordant Duets and Counterfeit Garden. He will next be seen in an episode of The Mentalist this upcoming season.

JP is also an avid golfer and poker player. When he’s not on set, he can most likely be seen wearing pajama pants. Yes, we’re serious. It’s his thing.

Look for JP’s Dirty Soap story to revolve around his move from New York to L.A. and how his relationship with Farah will progress. Will they stick together if John Paul doesn’t want to get married and Farah does? Apparently he left his last girlfriend for that reason.

Will history repeat itself? Tune in to Dirty Soap on E! beginning September 25 to find out.

JP has been my favorite actor since the day I first saw him. He is so awesome as a funny character & his facial expressions are really great. He can do comedy & serious parts superbly! I can’t believe he isn’ta huge movie star by now. What a talent this young man has. I’m an much older person & this guy beats any of the older guys! He’s got it all & sure wish hi luck in his career.
