Taylor Armstrong Talks With Dr. Phil Today!

September 22, 2011 09:58 AM by Megan Thompson

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star, Taylor Armstrong, will sit down with Dr. Phil today to discuss her estranged husband’s suicide.  Taylor, who has been quiet since the suicide, just started speaking to the media this week.  Keep reading for a sneak peek inside the Dr. Phil interview today

Taylor definitely kept to herself after Russell’s suicide and focused on her five year-old daughter, Kennedy.  Even with all the hype surrounding the season premiere of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, Taylor continued to mourn in private.  Just this week Taylor has returned to the media spotlight to discuss her troubled relationship with Russell.

On Tuesday, Taylor appeared on Entertainment Tonight for her first interview.  An emotional Taylor, who is still wearing Russell’s wedding band, talked about her abusive marriage.  There was a lot of physical and verbal abuse going on inside her Beverly Hills home.  Taylor even shared photos of her beaten face, telling Nancy O’Dell that during one of their fights Russell punched her in the eye.  Always trying to defend her husband, Taylor told the doctors her daughter had accidently kicked her in the face.

Today on Dr. Phil, Taylor discusses the fact that the Bravo TV cameras in her home added extra pressure to her already strained marriage.  Us Weekly reports that Taylor tells Dr. Phil, “I can’t say what he was thinking at the time [of his death], but what I can say is that I believe that if it weren’t for the cameras, there’s a chance I wouldn’t be sitting here with you today.”

Russell’s family has always claimed that the Bravo show played a factor in his death.  But other Bravo stars, like Bethenny Frankel, adamantly defend the network.

Will you be watching the Dr. Phil show today?  Let us know what you think about Taylor speaking out about the suicide.  We know you have an opinion, so comment below!

I am not totally sold on Taylor’s interview. I feel Taylor is a smart woman. I don’t understand why she stayed with this man, if he was so abusive why didn’t she leave him long ago…why go on a show, knowing you are in no financial position to compete with the other people in it. She had to know that he was having financial problems unless she was living under a rock, maybe they thought they could make money on it to help their financial situation…I think they are both to blame, for what has happened here.

Taylor may need to talk now, therapeutically or to clear the air. Apparently the pics were coming out and she is finding it time to talk about them. If she was abused by Russell, it’s her right to talk about it whenever she feels. Russell is responsible for taking his own life. They both are responsible for signing up for the show. If he abused her, he is responsible for that as well. I always found something “off” with their relationship. As a former survivor of domestic violence, I saw signs of walking on eggshells and “the look”, etc. But, I would never accuse based on that. I feel bad for their beautiful daughter. I hope she gets the help she needs and Taylor does too.

The interview with Dr. Phil made me sick. There are two sides to every story, and we will never hear Russell’s side because HE was in so much pain that he took his own life. How disrespectful of Taylor (or whatever her REAL name is) to go on national TV and talk about it. He’s dead, let him rest in peace.

You obviously have never been in an abusive relationship. She was probably to afraid to leave. They make you believe you can’t live without them. IS this the first time you have heard of abuse victims behavior. ARE YOU LIVING UNDER A ROCK?
