Joshua Rendon and Ebony Jackson-Rendon, who were featured on season one of 16 & Pregnant, are facing “criminal charges” and have lost their child to the state after authorities made a disturbing discovery. Read on for the details…
According to a recent report from Yahoo News via the Associated Press, Joshua Rendon and Ebony Jackson-Rendon of MTV‘s 16 and Pregnant have not been living in the best of conditions with their 2-year-old child.
According to the report original report from the Associated Press, police searched the couple’s home at the Little Rock Air Force Base after being alerted by base officials to do so.
What authorities found was a living space filled with feces, flies and maggots, but that’s only half of what the officers found.
According to the report, Jacksonville Police Captain Kenny Boyd confirmed there was “one gram of synthetic marijuana, empty packaging and pipes allegedly used to smoke the controlled substance.”
Joshua Rendon and Ebony Jackson-Rendon are now facing felony charges of “maintaining a drug premises and unauthorized use of another’s property to facilitate a crime,” and their 2-year-old child, whose birth was part of the 16 & Pregnant show, has been taken into custody by the state.
Apparently, the feces (human and animal) in the home was so bad, there were maggots in different areas of the quarters and the house was overcome with flies.
MTV has confirmed that Joshua and Ebony did take part in 16 & Pregnant and the report confirmed Joshua did say over the phone “it’s not in our best interest” to discuss details of the case at this time.
The couple is due in court on Oct. 6 where the are expected to make a plea. Currently they are free on a $8,000 bond.
Stay tuned for more development in this case.
