One would think Ty Pennington would be busy enough what with riding the Extreme Makeover Home Edition bus all over America helping families in need, but apparently he has more time to give. Ty has signed on to be a part of the a new ABC Daytime talk show called The Revolution, which features health and lifestyle transformations.
Ty joins host Tim Gunn, from Project Runway, at The Revolution, as well as health adviser, Harley Pasternak. The premise of the show is that each week a woman’s five-month weight loss transformation will be highlighted over five days. So how does Ty fit in? Apparently, the transformation encompasses many areas of the woman’s life, including family, emotional well-being, fashion, home design, financial health, and career.
Daytime president for Disney/ABC, Brian Frons, issued a statement to media, saying, “Ty’s passionate and deep connection to everyone he helps makes him the perfect choice to join The Revolution.” Frons went on to say, “Our goal is to include inspiring and informative motivators as we build The Revolution team and continue to evolve our lineup with the type of lifestyle programming that daytime viewers are interested in seeing.”
Ty Pennington fans can catch him on The Revolution beginning in January 2010, when the show begins airing in place of One Life To Live on ABC at 2 PM EST.
