Kristin Cavallari Thinks Her Lack Of A Sad Story May Be To Blame For Her Elimination

October 06, 2011 10:24 AM by Lisa Princ

Kristin Cavallari and her partner Mark Ballas were eliminated on Dancing With The Stars on ABC this week, and now Kristin Cavallari thinks that her lack of a sad story may have been to blame. More on this story after the jump!

Although Chaz Bono was at the bottom of the score board this week, Kristin Cavallari and her partner Mark Ballas were sent home after the votes were tallied. Kristin recently said that she is glad she went out on top, but now Kristin Cavallari thinks that her lack of having a sad story on this week’s “personal story week” may to be blame for her elimination. Kristin told Jimmy Kimmel: “Maybe I didn’t have a good enough story. It’s hard to compete with some of the most memorable years. Mine was just like, ‘I graduated high school and moved to LA!’”

Instead of going with a sad tale, Kristin Cavallari decided to go with a more positive year where she had to choose between a reality show or college. Her partner, Mark Ballas agreed with that decision as he responded to Kristin’s comment by saying: “It was a memorable year, so usually you want to focus on the positive, right?” Kristin Cavallari went on to say: “It wasn’t a sob story, but obviously I should have gone with the other one,” in which we assume she is referring to her recent breakup with Jay Cutler.

So what do you think of Kristin leaving? Do you think Kristin Cavallari’s lack of a sad story led to her elimination? If so, that is just silly, after all this is a dance competition and Kristin definitely proved better than some others. Comment and give us your thoughts below!

Why doesn’t someone clue her in and let her know the truth: ultimately the public doesn’t care about reality tv people who have no talent. That’s why she didn’t get any votes.

WHAT??? DWTS is NOT a Dance contest??? Where has this Lady been?? If you do not have a large following of Fans, you will have NO chance of WINNING!!! Look at Chaz Bono, The sad story should have run it’s course, BUT, WHO is His Mom??? Guess where all the phone in votes are coming from?? Grow up!

Kristin is by far a better dancer than others currently on the show and should not have been eliminated this early into the season. I do believe what Tom said at the end of the show, people thinking the couple were automatically safe and therefore kicking the votes elsewhere and also yes, the “sad story” may have played a role as well. (Even though it should not.) This should be based on dancing and strictly dancing and it doesn’t matter how famous they are or where they came from, it is about dance. I think they need to adjust something with the voting process along with the judges playing a final say in who stays and who doesn’t. They were clearly all shocked at this elimination. Keep dancing Kristin and keep up the good attitude! It was great to see a different side of your personality and talent! Nice to see your lady like side, as well. Keep up the good work and you will shine

Untalented dancers who are popular tend to stay longer than talented dancers who don’t have a fan base. Sad but true. Remember a few seasons ago when one of the dancers stomped around the dance floor like an elephant, but stayed on the show because he was “doing it for the people of New Orleans…” He SHOULD have been gone the first week! It should be a DANCE contest, not a popularity contest.

Obviously she believes in her own press too much…not as popular as she thinks she is…just another blonde starlet…a dime a dozen.

Unfortunately DWTS does not always reward the dancer with the most talent. I could cite numerous cases over the last several years where this was the case. The fact that Kristin was sent home before Chaz and a couple of other dancers is ridiculous but a fact of life on DWTS

Unfortunately, DWTS is not so much of a Dance contest, as it is a popularity contest. No matter how well you dance, if people don’t know you or like you… you’ll go home.

I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this, but outside of a few reality nuts… you’re just not that well known.

Be glad you got your 15 minutes, and have a wonderful life.

Oh, she has a sad story… she’s not that bright. Like the others said… you need fans + minimal talent to win. Don’t be a sore loser!! Try taking the high road. Oh… google it honey: h-i-g-h r-o-a-d.

Not everyone who stays on has a sob story. Like someone else said…….she simply didn’t have a fan base. There have been others who surprisingly left and for the same reason.

It’s simple. The fat housewives eating Cheetos on the coach and watching the show wanted the attractive skinny girls off(like Clooney’s girlfriend and Cavallari). Both were reasonably good dancers. It’s the ‘skinny b!tch’ syndrome.

No one wants to vote for the pretty ones who don’t have geniune reason to be on the show (not real celebrities).

Now if we can just get enough American fatties to hate Nancy Grace…

I find nothing about her particularly “likeable” and certainly not her dancing. DWTS is, at its core, a popularity contest (http://wp.me/p1se8R-1m1) like any other competition on television. Being a Reality TV “Star” herself, Kristin Cavallari certainly knew this when she agreed to compete. I won’t miss her. I think she’s a sore loser.

Every wackadoodle trans gender voted for Chaz , who can’t dance and waddles aroend like a duck while his partner dances her legs off around him. what a shame!

I’ve been browsing on-line more than three hours as of late, but I never discovered any interesting article like yours. It is lovely price sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content material as you did, the web shall be much more useful than ever before.
