It’s been an emotional year for American Idol on FOX‘s season nine winner, Lee DeWyze. Back in May, Lee DeWyze supposedly refused to attend the finale, and then in July, the singer announced his engagement. Now, rumor has it that Lee DeWyze has been dropped by his record label – could it be true? Read on for more…
American Idol’s season nine winner, Lee DeWyze, has apparently been dropped from his record label, RCA Records, only a year and a half after winning the show. According to TMZ, they have an exclusive insider that tells them that RCA, who rosters other American Idol winners such as Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks, has dumped Lee DeWyze, but there has been no indication as to why. While we can only assume his failing record sales are to blame, neither RCA, nor Lee DeWyze have commented on the subject.
A rep for Lee DeWyze told TMZ that Lee is “in a good place right now” and working on “several exciting projects,” and we know that he is still working on another album, so there is no reason fret right now fans! Lee DeWyze recently posted on his Twitter page to his fans: “Heading to Nashville to work with some amazing artists and writers. I can’t wait to put out this new album, I’ll be working very hard to get you guys the best music I can make.”
