Lauren Alaina’s Album Shoots To Number One On iTunes

American Idol on FOX‘s season ten runner-up, Lauren Alaina, debuted her new album “Wildflower” yesterday, and it got off to a great start as the album shot straight to the number one spot on iTunes. What did Lauren Alaina have to say about that? Read on to find out!

American Idol’s season ten runner-up, Lauren Alaina, couldn’t be more thrilled with her new album’s early success. As the album shot up to number one on iTunes yesterday, the same day it debuted, Lauren was shocked. Although she had hoped her album would do well, she didn’t expect it that soon, and Lauren Alaina shared her excitement with reporters saying: “I was sitting in the hair and makeup room getting ready for ‘Good Morning, America’ when my mom ran in and told me it was number one. I had just finished my foundation, and I got so excited that I almost took the makeup off!”

The album, which is getting great reviews all over the web, pushed American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery’s album, “Clear As Day” to the number two spot. Scotty’s album also took the number one spot on the day of it’s debut last week.     Wow!!! Love this album. Such a talented and beautiful girl. Wishing all the best for her. My favorites are the locket-dirt road prayer-like my mother does. Amazing, I bought this today and i have listened to this several times already. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Her new album is amazing! I can’t stop listening to it. I can’t wait to see how many of these songs become big hits!

    I think its GREAT! GA Peaches and Wildflower are both great, but I especially like her performance of the song she wrote on the album, Funny Thing About Love.

    I wish Lauren the best with the continuance of her career.
