Chaz Bono And Vinny Guadagnino Team Up For Anti-Bully Campaign

October 15, 2011 08:31 AM by Lisa Princ

Chaz Bono and Vinny Guadagnino seem like an unlikely pair to campaign together, don’t they? As odd as it may seem, ABC‘s Dancing With The Stars contestant, and the MTV Jersey Shore guido, have teamed up for an anti-bullying campaign! Read on for the details…

Dancing With The Stars contestant Chaz Bono, is known for his GLAAD campaigns, but now he has been joined by Jersey Shore’s Vinny Guadagnino for an anti-bully campaign. GLAAD has partnered with the American Federation of Teachers to produce some videos that contain anti-bullying messages, designed to fight bullying against LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) and encourage acceptance instead.

Both Vinny and Chaz are donning suits in the video – maybe The Situation hooked them up with his new line? Chaz Bono kicks off the video as he says: “Millions of gay and transgender youth are made to feel like they don’t fit in everyday. Some even feel unsafe,” followed by Vinny Guadagnino adding: “No matter who you are, you have the power to make a difference.” The pair are joined by “Glee” actress, Naya Rivera. Check out the video below:

Also appearing in some of the anti-bullying campaigns are: Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott, Dustin Lance Black, Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Ariel Winter, Mario Lopez, and the cast of “Pretty Little Liars.” GLAAD also revealed plans for a “Spirit Day,” on Oct. 20, in which certain corporations will have purple logos and people will wear purple to stand against LGBT bullying. MTV plans to turn its on-air logo purple, while AT&T, Comcast, Facebook and Yahoo! will also be involved, although details have not been revealed on those four yet. Some television personalities on CNBC, E! and MSNBC will wear purple, including Bravo’s Andy Cohen, MTV’s Steve-O and Top Chef host Padma Laksmi.
