Yesterday we learned that Giuliana Rancic, of Giuliana & Bill, has been battling breast cancer, and the E! correspondent recently told Ryan Seacrest that she hopes to inspire other women! Read on for more…
Giuliana Rancic revealed yesterday that she has breast cancer. The E! host found out during another IVF treatment, in which a tumor was discovered only after her doctor pushed her to have a mammogram. Giuliana Rancic chatted with Ryan Seacrest yesterday and she told Ryan: “I’ve been keeping this secret from a lot of dear friends for a while now and it’s nice to get it out there and not hide anymore,” but she also said it was difficult for her to go public.
Then she decided to go public hoping to inspire other women to get checked, and educate others as she also said: “There was a long period of time where I thought I was going to hide this from everyone, that I didn’t need to tell anyone. And then as time went by, I would see friends of mine that didn’t know, and I would think, ‘God, I wish I could let her know what I’m going through,’ so that she goes and gets checked,” and “I started realizing I could be an example for women to not just be aware of breast cancer but to act on it. Giuliana Rancic now knows firsthand how important early detection is, and she hopes other women will follow in her footsteps.
Giuliana is relieved to have the news of her breast cancer out in the open, and she has been overwhelmed with support. Only moments after Giuliana Rancic made the announcement, she was flooded with support by friends, and Twitter exploded with support for her as well. Giuliana added that she feels “a weight has been lifted” since she revealed the news. Our thoughts and prayers here at Reality TV Magazine go out to Giuliana Rancic during this trying time in her life.
