Lauren Alaina, of American Idol on FOX won us over on the show’s 10th season with her amazing voice and her sweet disposition, but the teen admitted to being bothered by her weight while on the show. Now, Lauren Alaina’s weight struggle may be a thing of the past, as the star recently dropped 25 pounds! How’d she do it? Read on to find out!
American Idol’s Lauren Alaina complained about her weight while on the show’s tenth season, but no worries – she has recently dropped 25 pounds and admits that she is almost at her goal weight now. Lauren Alaina told US Magazine recently about her weight loss and she added: “I’m 10 pounds from my goal – almost there! I wear size small and extra-small now!”
That is great news for Lauren, but how did she do it? The country sweetheart attributes her high-protein, low-carb diet and daily workouts to her slim, new figure. Lauren Alaina went on to tell the magazine: “Changing my diet was the big thing, I had to learn correct portion control.” She also reveals that she does a lot of push ups, crunches, and squats, adding: “I eat an egg-white omelet for breakfast, shrimp and veggies for lunch and chicken with asparagus for dinner,” of her typical daily meals.
Kudos to Lauren Alaina on her weight loss – she looks fabulous! Lauren joins a list of American Idol alum who have been successful in losing weight after the show. The new season of American Idol is set to premiere in January – stay tuned!
